Welcome Letter

Dear Student and Family,

WELCOME! I am so excited to have you as a part of our classroom! My name is Jenna Bonaccorso and I have been teaching special education at Hurlbutt Elementary School for two years. Besides teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, and playing sports, such as soccer and volleyball.

I have a passion for teaching and my goal for each and every day is for my students to feel successful. In order for this to happen, I believe in a strong school and home connection. It’s important that we work together to ensure that STUDENT is comfortable and happy in his new classroom environment. We are going to learn so many new and exciting things together. I can not wait to get to know STUDENT as an individual and as a learner.

When he starts on Wednesday, STUDENT will have a cubby with his name on it for his jacket and backpack, as well as a name tag and his own desk to use as a work center and to store his school supplies.  Please send STUDENT in with 2 pencils, a notebook, and a box of crayons for his first day. If at any time you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or email me. Communication is very important to me. I will also call you Friday afternoon to let you know how the first couple of days are going!

Looking forward to meeting you!

Miss Bonaccorso
